The Blank Tapes is Matt Adams and Matt Adams is The Blank Tapes. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist first started making music on his home eight-track in 2003, inspired by the legendary 60’s sounds of bands like The Beatles and The Kinks. He’s always been a self starter, recording songs as easily as getting out of bed in the morning, painting his own album covers, and planning out albums incredibly far in advance. In May, Matt Adams will release a new album as The Blank Tapes, called Vacation. Taking inspiration from life on the road during tours, Vacation has bits and pieces that sound like everything from Robyn Hitchcock to Kris Kristofferson to Buddy Holly.
