No, you aren’t seeing double. Well maybe YOU are, but these two remarkably similar looking dudes are identical twins, Brendan and Andrew Bond. While this may be the first music we’re hearing from these two together, Brendan is no stranger to KUTX and Studio 1A. Over the past few years, he has played the role of rock n’ roll sideman to A. Sinclair and Matthew Logan Vasquez and lead guitar for those funky extraterrestrials in Golden Dawn Arkestra. Andrew, on the other hand, made his way to Austin only recently after his long running Brooklyn based band, Friends, called it quits. Despite the years apart, the brothers took no time in collaborating on a 4 song EP of delightfully well-crafted, witty power pop songs they’ve titled Just Kids. The EP is getting a release party Thursday at the Mohawk along with Magic Rockers of Texas, Slomo Drags & Lola Tried!
