The three women that make up Austin band the Carper Family are not actually related, but with their tight harmonies and the chemistry between them (not to mention their band name), it’s understandable that they might be mistaken for family. It also helps that each member of the band started as a notable solo instrumentalist and vocalist before the three joined forces to create the Carper Family. Last year, their debut album, Back When, was named Best Country Album by the Independent Music Awards, further pushing the band into the national spotlight.
