The Dirty River Boys at KUTX 7.18.13

When The Dirty River Boys moved from El Paso and joined the Austin music scene, they became motivated to solidify themselves as a band. Encouraged by the sense of community amongst local Austin musicians, The Dirty River Boys were soon able to dedicate themselves entirely to their music. Although they play a stripped-down acoustic blend of southern influenced folk rock, the Boys aren’t lacking in either energy – establishing a solid sound reinforced by multi-part vocal harmonies – or inventiveness. Their latest album alone, Science of Flight, features sounds of Wurlitzer piano, train whistles, marching drums and – in true Texas spirit – a rattlesnake.

The Dirty River Boys performed in our Studio 1A (sans rattlesnake) this Thursday, July 18thand we couldn’t have been more excited. Check it out right here!
