The Quaker City Night Hawks 5.19.16

Sunglasses, beards, denim & flannels. The Quaker City Night Hawks bring a full dose of overdriven Southern Rock out of Fort Worth, TX. Their name appropriately originates from the Mark Twain travel novel, The Innocents Abroad or, The New Pilgrim’s Progress, referencing a group of travelers brought together for late nights of drinking, smoking & cards. These Texas boys blend blues-driven riffs and highway-cruising harmonies to bring you timeless Texas rock & roll.

While their sound is reminiscent of Texas legends ZZ Top The Eagles, QCNH are equally influenced from science-fiction. This theme is rather evident in the tracks and artwork on their upcoming release, El Astronauta, making references to flying cars and interplanetary immigration. Perhaps a strange combination, but their music rocks and is catching on, as it was recently featured on the FX television show Sons of Anarchy

QCNH are in town this weekend to release El Astronauta. For now, start your weekend early, turn up your stereo and enjoy a few of these rock & roll gems from their Studio 1A performance.
