Though International Women’s day has come and gone, it is never too late acknowledge strong women. The Tiarra Girls are an electric Austin trio comprised of sisters Tiffany, Tori, and Sophia Baltierra. These sisters also just happen to be three-time Austin Music Award winners. Their music focuses on messages of empowerment and unity in both English and Spanish. The trio stopped by Studio 1a and chatted with KUTX’s  Elizabeth McQueen about their experience in the music industry and their hopes to use their voice to make a change. The Tiarra Girls are going to be busy these next couple of days. They will be at Latinapalooza March 13th at the Continental Club AND at SXSW EQ Austin Showcase that same day. If you can’t make to those shows, you can see the Tiarra Girls Friday, March 15th at Cosmic Clash Daze “Women of Clash” at the Hard Luck Lounge.
