Union Specific @ KUTX 06.25.2015

Union Specific, the indie roots-country band based out of Austin, have a steely Americana touch and twang.

Comprised of Kim Taruc on bass and Tyler Wallace and Gregg Maher on guitars and vocals, Union Specific formed in 2008 after a chance meeting in Sherman, TX. The band has since been unleashing their loud and tuneful rock infused alt-country jams upon us, as exemplified by 2013’s full-length, Diesel Engines and Kerosene Visions. The band’s newest album, Howlin’ Room, was released in May and turned the guitars down just a little to make way for a mostly acoustic collection of propulsive tracks that are rootsy to the bone, as their melodies flow with increasing ease.

You can see Union Specific live at the Empire Control Room tonight, June 26th, and you can stream their music right here on KUTX.
