What Made Milwaukee Famous has been a staple in the Austin music scene since the band was formed in 2003. And there’s a reason they’ve been a staple for so long. The band’s musically diverse and talented roster allows them to easily shift between genres and sounds without so much as batting an eye. Yet for all the shifting they do, their distinct pop sound remains intact. The group has earned themselves slots at the big name music festivals, such as Bonnaroo, ACL, Sasquatch and Lollapalooza, and they’ve shared the stage with some enormous names like Arcade Fire, TV On The Radio and The Black Keys. Their new album, You Can’t Fall Off The Floor, was released this week, and it contains the same musically skilled, addictive pop that they’ve always had.
On Saturday, What Made Milwaukee Famous will play a CD release show for their new album at Antone’s. They were caught live in Studio 1a earlier this week and you can hear it Friday night at 8pm. Be sure to give it a listen!
