Wheeler Brothers finds balance between touring and recording, retreating from an exhausting tour for their debut album Portraits to record their sophomore release Gold Boots Glitter in the Texas hill country. Seclusion away from urban life and cell phone signals allows Wheeler Brothers to immerse themselves in the songwriting process to further refine their signature sound on Gold Boots Glitter.
Touring continues to be central to the band, having made appearances at ACL, SXSW, Lollapalooza while attracting praise from Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, and The Austin Chronicle. Portraits swept the 2012 Austin Music Awards, winning “Best New Band” among other awards, reaffirming the group’s potential that has fans patiently waiting for more.
