Since 2004 Wild Bill has been providing his songwriting and performing talents to some of Austin’s most diverse underground bands. More recently Wild Bill and his everchanging group, the Lost Knobs, have taken to performing their own brand of indie-infused outlaw country blues. With deep appreciation for folk and country, Wild Bill also draws heavily on other genres to put a unique spin on roots music. Wild Bill’s experimentation with the boundaries of traditional country and blues makes it easy to see why some have compared Wild Bill to music giants like Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, and Beck.
This month Wild Bill and the Knobs won Best Music Video at the Austin Music Video Race for their single The Show off their album of the same name. Wild Bill and the Knobs will release The Show at their album release party alongside Sweet Spirit on Saturday, September 20th at the ABGB.
