In what has become an annual tradition, Rolling Stone magazine Senior Writer David Fricke once again joined our own Jody Denberg on the Sunday Morning after South By Southwest for the “KUTX SXSW WRAP UP SHOW”.
Guests in previous years have included Sean Lennon, Alejandro Escovedo and B.P. Fallon. This year Robyn Hitchcock returned for the first time since 2013. Anything goes on these shows, and as per usual, the program included music from artists David Fricke has written about or interviewed recently, artists seen at the Festival, sneak peek listen to new releases (including Hitchcock’s forthcoming album) and usually something Beatles-related!
The playlist is included here, as well as the whole four-hour show itself. (And – congratulations to Robyn Hitchcock who was just announced as a 2017 Grulke Prize Winner for “Career Act”.) Robyn returns to Austin March 29th at Emo’s on a bill with Psychedelic Furs.
