New AirBnB Experience: SoFar So Good

Take note weary travelers and wonderlusters, Airbnb is not only here to find you a place to rest your head, but to help facilitate your music experience during your trip. Airbnb has partnered with Sofar Sounds, a promotion team specializing in staging secret gigs in cities around the world, to bring your daytime traveling schedule a range of “music experiences” specific to your city. There are currently almost 100 experiences available, including vinyl hunting in Tokyo, violin making in Paris, making a music video in Miami, and partying with local musicians in Nairobi. Oh yeah, you can also hang out in Detroit with Kid Rock’s guitarist. The goal for the Music Experiences is to support up-and-coming local artists, connect people with them and their events, and generate a little extra income for artists. The experiences are between one and three days, and are fully immersive.

Paying Tribute to Notorious in a B.I.G. Way

Today is the 20th anniversary of the death Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls. To honor the rapper’s legacy, Puff Daddy is calling on fans to send him videos of themselves rapping their favorite Notorious B.I.G. verse using the hashtag #WeMissYouBIG. According to Billboard, these videos will be chopped and edited into “something special.” Yesterday Puff Daddy announced that the Bad Boy Records doc Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival next month, which chronicles the label’s 20 year history, including the rise and murder of its star rapper, the Notorious B.I.G.
