What musical experience most set you on the path to a career in radio?

When I was in middle school and high school, before I could drive, my dad would take me to school. Every night before bed I would sit on my phone and scroll through spotify, always trying to find new music. The next morning we would get in my dads car and start our morning commute and the first thing my dad would do was turn on the radio. Every morning without fail there would be a song that would play that I had just added to my playlist the night before. It always excited me and I would joke with him that “I control the radio.” I think somehow I manifested it for myself because now I do and couldn’t be happier about it.

What’s your favorite Austin music experience so far?

Kind of a basic answer, but ACL this past year. The music was some of my favorite and I was lucky enough to interview a lot of the artists that performed. It added an extra element to the experience that made me that much more excited for the work I get to do and the field I’m in.

How do you spend your time when you’re not spinning records on the air?

I love spending time with my family more than anything else. We all have similar hobbies such as estate sales, traveling, trivia, record hunting, and I always have the most fun when I am with them. I love to swim. Being born in Florida and swimming for sport growing up has made me really love being in the water. I volunteer when I can and enjoy being around animals a lot. One thing you can always count on is me trying a new place to eat!
