Austin’s Minor Mishap Marching Band is a musical force to be reckoned with. That makes them sound threatening, which they aren’t, but it’s an accurate depiction of the sheer amount of sound and fun that can come from one ensemble. The band is a 25 piece renegade circus-punk-brass band that describe themselves as “Bourbon Street meets Budapest.” They are inspired by a love of street music, brass bands, and spectacle, as well as a desire to create community and reinvent public spaces. Minor Mishap Marching Band will be playing KUT’s Austin Music Map Launch Party this Saturday at The ND. They were in Studio 1a on Tuesday, you can listen to it right now!
