The 2014 Austin City Limits music festival is upon us, with hundreds of band descending on Zilker Park for two weekends of live music. Next week, we’ll present the best of this year’s fest, but this week, we’re looking back. We’ve dug into the archives and we’ve got a full hour of exclusive live recordings from ACL’s first twelve years. Since its humble, 2-day beginnings in 2002 to now two weekends and dozens of late night shows, ACL has changed a lot, and we’ve been there to capture some of the best moments: Van Morrison. Arcade Fire. The Black Angels. And of course, Ben Kweller’s infamous bloody nose. We’ll hear all that and more, on this week’s edition of the Austin Music Experience. Join us at 6pm on KUTX 98.9 and kutx.org!
