Maggie Rogers has no idea what the future holds. And it sounds beautiful.
It’s the final song on the album, but it wraps it all up perfectly. Maggie Rogers boldly puts her heart into the title track of Don’t Forget Me. Uncertainty might dictate some of the mood on Rogers’ third studio release, but it’s from a new wisdom gently unfolding all the possibilities. The album was written and recorded with producer Ian Fitchuk in only five days, but a clear, confident tone emerges to share stories of a few old ghosts haunting some memories. Rogers is finding her own voice.
Maggie Rogers brings the Don’t Forget Me tour to the ATX for a show tomorrow night, Wednesday Oct. 9, at Moody Center. Doors at 6:30 p.m., with Ryan Beatty opening.
