Throughout years of sumptuous pop and wistful balladry, Belle & Sebastian has continuously shown a mastery of unique musical structure, subtleties and unpredictability. Every album has its own distinctive appeal. And this year, the band celebrates the 30th anniversary of two of these LPs with a huge tour, which includes two nights at ACL Live.
Tonight’s show features the Scottish pop band’s 1996 debut Tigermilk, performed in its entirety; tomorrow, it’s their second album If You’re Feeling Sinister, released the same year and often regarded as one of the best releases of the ‘90s. Both nights also include a set of longtime Belle & Sebastian favorites from other albums. Doors at 7 p.m.
