It’s been a great run for your Austin Music Minute maven’s favorite frantic jitter-punk fiends Big Bill at The Electric Church, 5018 E. Cesar Chavez Blvd. Each frenzied Friday night fervor of their June musical residency delivered a number of outstanding performances, so you best keep in mind that tomorrow night’s residency wrap-up will be another major blast. Texas space-psych legends ST 37 share the bill with mighty one-man band Daniel Francis Doyle, night-hungry noise punks Vampyre, Phoenix, AZ dark and deadly noise-pop creatures Treasure MammaL (keep that last ‘L’ capital, please), and FYBIS, a rather mysterious hardcore super-group who recently decided that tomorrow’s show will be…their last performance. (cue dramatic soap-opera music)
“Our experiment in designed obsolescence as hardcore punk finally breaks down and gets thrown the the dumpster tomorrow night,” says the band. Consider your AMM host intrigued.
Doors open at around 7 p.m. Get there early to catch all of the bands. Big Bill done stole ma heart. This one comes very recommended.
