Julian Acosta is in constant motion. He made up his mind a long time ago. When you dedicate your entire life to the one thing you love the most, forget slowing down, or taking breaks. Amidst a few bumps in the road and some heart-wrenching moments of frustration along the way, Acosta moves forward as if jet-propelled by making music.
Acosta recently returned from a brief tour of Mexico, which included a stop in Querétaro, where he was born. He hit the ground running with an itinerary of several radio and TV interviews to discuss not only his forthcoming album, but his love of Austin and the support given to him by family, friends and fans alike in the pursuit of his goals. Today in the Live Music Capital, it’s officially Julian Acosta Day, and to celebrate, Acosta will present an intimate acoustic performance tonight at Native Hostel, 807 E. 4th St. Happy hour begins at 7 p.m., followed by the show at 8:30 p.m.
