This summer, November was officially designated as Hip-Hop History Month, prompting license and publishing company BMI to spotlight hip-hop artists across the country. You can check out playlists assembled by the BMI crew featuring countless innovative songwriters, rappers, DJ’s and producers who paved the way for emerging hip-hop artists.
To celebrate here in Austin, the BMI Vibes showcase includes four artists making waves in the local scene. Hosts Terrany Johnson (Tee Double) and BMI Senior Creative Director Mitch Ballard will present performances by Ladi Earth, J Soulja (featured on today’s AMM), CP Loony and EC Mayne. This is a free event happening tonight, Tuesday Nov. 16, at the Far Out Lounge and Stage, 8504 S. Congress Ave., starting at 6 p.m.
