KUTX 98.9 is stoked to team up with the City of Austin Music & Entertainment Division and the Austin Music Foundation to represent through Love Austin Music Month. ‘Tis true that KUTX shows mad love for Austin music artists all year round, but the month of February serves as a great reminder for all to step up and find out how to support ATX musicians.
Your Austin Music Minute maven is doing her part with today’s AMM featuring longtime fave Darkbird. Vocalist/songwriter Kelly Barnes is at the helm of this searing rock goodness. Prepare for a face-melting. See them tonight at the South Congress Hotel, 1603 S. Congress Ave., for the hotel’s First Thursday music series. The party starts early at 6 p.m. with DJ magnifco ulovei, followed by Darkbird at 7 p.m. So good. Recommended.
