Your humble Austin Music Minute hostess would like to clarify a few things, if I may. All throughout the week – month – year, you, as an Austinite, have endless opportunities to support local music, which includes going to shows, buying bands’/songwriters’/performers’ merchandise, and generously filling the tip jar with all the ones or fives (or hundreds…it doesn’t hurt to put it out there) you can muster.

Free Week here in town makes it that much more easy for you. There’s no cover charge at participating venues, which means you can check out a show for free, baby. So, take it as a friendly reminder from the AMM and go. Tonight, there’s another awesome show that will get your blood pumping at Beerland, 711 Red River, with garage rock-pop badassery by The Zoltars. You may recall my raves about Walking Through the Dark via John Parsons‘ recommendation. Damn good stuff! Also on the bill are Pharaohs, Trustees, Wildfires, Lesser Beings and I Am the Albatross.

Doors open at 9 p.m. Don’t miss out. Make it your night. Recommended.
