Emily Cross‘ delicate vocals waft and whisper through twilight dreams haunting Cross Record‘s stunning LP. It’s that very atmosphere that makes it achingly beautiful, stirring through darkened corridors with a quietly building intensity, painted with brush strokes of longing and dramatic tension.
Make plans to see Cross Record at their performance tomorrow night at 3Ten, 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. (please note this is an entirely separate venue from ACL Live). Doors open at 8 p.m., and Tele Novella starts the music at 9 p.m. An excellent Friday night bill all around. Very recommended.
