Here’s the Remedy

Jack Littman is proud to point out that songwriting is in his blood. After all, he’s following in the footsteps of his father and great-grandfather before him. But on a more personal angle, his love for the craft ties in with his love of storytelling.

The Los Angeles-based singer and multi-instrumentalist makes an unusual blend of acoustic and electronic-style soul, covering subject matter all across the board in his lyrics. It can be about relationships. It can glide easily into things political. Everything has a story to it.

Littman’s current tour, in support of his EP The Remedy, includes a stop in Austin for a show tonight at The Parish Underground, 214 E. 6th St., downstairs below the main Parish room. It’s a great space to catch emerging artists. Speaking of which, joining Littman on the bill is none other than local songwriter (with a most heavenly voice, I tell you) Paul Banks and his band, The Carousels. Doors open at 8 p.m. A definite must-see show. Recommended.
