As a follower of the Austin Music Minute, you already know there’s a special place in the heart of your humble host for all the Austin-based bands and songwriters. That’s what we do at KUTX 98.9 – show plenty of love for the local artists! KUTX, along with the City of Austin Music & Entertainment Division and the Austin Music Foundation are inviting you to do the same this February because it’s Love Austin Music month. All month long, the AMM will feature shows with local artists at local venues – something that the AMM has been doing for awhile now, but we’re amping things up to get more music lovers inspired.
Today’s AMM pick is a KUTX favorite – A Giant Dog, who start a month-long residency tonight at Beerland, 711 1/2 Red River. Get there early; the cozy space is bound to fill up almost immediately with such an incredible show, which includes Xetas, American Sharks, and Nick Allison on the bill. Doors open at 8 p.m.
