Scartocci is a consummate performer who opens the floodgates wide, leaving both heart and soul on stage after delivering his stone cold shakedown. And whether it’s huge screaming audiences, or crowd-packed smaller venues, Scartocci connects to the energy in every room. With R&B and soul, it can be no other way for him.
“It’s all out the window the very second that first note hits,” Scartocci says. “It’s no more thought once it’s on, it’s all feel. It’s a ride. I’m on it every bit as you are. I’m just the one in the front seat. If it’s soul music, it absolutely has to come from the heart, from the depths, from your greatest pain, your purest joy. It has to be honest, unvarnished.”
