Prehuman LP release show Saturday at The 13th Floor, with Cast of Thousands, Variety and Penner.
The long-awaited 7-song album by Austin rock/shoegaze outfit Prehuman comes out at the end of this week, recorded by Max Deems (Blank Hellscape) and mixed/produced by Elliot Frazier (Ringo Deathstarr). And following a few line-up changes over the course of the journey, Prehuman’s lead vocalist/bassist Ginny Thornton and drummer Math Judson are currently joined by rhythm guitarist/backup vocalist Lauren Lakis and lead guitarist Zack Chicoine in the latest iteration, while the original line-up featuring Corey Anderson (Exercise) plays on the LP.
The AMM’s giving you advanced notice of their upcoming album release show this Saturday at The 13th Floor on Red River, featuring power pop outfit Cast of Thousands, KUTX Artist of the Month alum Variety, and alt.-punks Penner on the bill. Carson Braymer (FLAGS) will join Prehuman on stage as an additional guitarist, and the band will share a new unrecorded song in their setlist. Doors at 8 p.m., with Penner starting the show at 9 p.m.
