Suit Up

Songwriter Aaron Sinclair first hit the local music scene with gritty Americana from his former band Frank Smith, which slowly evolved into a fuzzier, harder-edged sound on Nineteen (2010), and the slightly darker Before You Were Born (2012) and Nineties (2013). Frank Smith dropped the old name to become A. Sinclair in 2014, and released the EP Pretty Girls, straight-up badass, tight-riffed, ‘60s-inflected rock/pop mixing garage and punk.

It’s another Austin Music Minute favorite, and a recommended live performance. See A. Sinclair tonight at Lambert’s, 401 W. 2nd St., with My Golden Calf and a set by A. Sinclair bandmate Brendan Bond rounding out the night perfectly. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. This will make your Friday night. Go.
