Folk-pop crooner (and longtime Austin Music Minute fave) Lex Land is far more than a chanteuse. This soulful songwriter puts a lot of heartfelt wit and emotion into her craft. You hear Land enduring the heartaches and feel her sinking in waves of love ’til the end of time. Her 2011 multi-genre release Were My Sweetheart To Go... is sultry, sexy and sassy all at once.
Land has just started a new solo residency at the cozy confines of The Gatsby, 708 E. 6th St. See here there tonight and each Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. You’ll have hearts in your eyes and swoon as she croons. Recommended.
