Your humble Austin Music Minute maven wasn’t surprised to hear that tonight’s show with Glasgow-based electronic pop trio Chvrches at the Mohawk had sold out. I imagine that must have happened rather quickly, considering the buzz surrounding their Recover EP, and their performances during SXSW.
A tad frustrating, if you’re a Chvrches fan, but the AMM is here to remind you of some great music happening after this show, one of those triple bill delights with local bands that you’ll enjoy. The afterparty bill features local artist Cody Wilson‘s electronic experimental trip-hop dance fest Corduroi, indie rock-pop goodness by The Baker Family, and absolute knock-out psyc-rockers Kay Leotard. They all perform just after 10 p.m. on the Mohawk’s inside stage, following Chvrches and London-based dream pop duo Still Corners. Do check this one out. Recommended.
