So…here’s what the Austin Music Minute can tell you about David Garza‘s shows tonight and tomorrow night at the Cactus Cafe. The bottom line: It’s going to be an awesome time, brought to you by one of the most talented and prolific songwriters greatly admired in our fair city and beyond, going as far back as his Twang Twang Shock-A-Boom days at UT and continuing now with his solo work. (Pick up a copy of Garza’s 2013 full-length release, Human Tattoo, and just let its intimacy sink in.)
However, Cactus Cafe staff informed your humble AMM host that Garza will have some friends joining him for these special sets. The thing is…I’m not at liberty to reveal whom, even though it’s rather difficult for me to keep my big mouth shut. You’ll just have to find out when you go. Doors open at 8 p.m. both nights, and the music starts at 8:30 p.m.
