This week on My KUTX, Erin Walter and Keri Cinquina take the guest DJ controls. They’re members of the Austin rock trio Parker Woodland, a band that combines punk energy and LGBTQ+ activism. Keri has played drums for years, opening for Melissa Etheridge and others, while Erin handles bass, singing, and is also a minister and the executive director of the Texas Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry.
Parker Woodland releases its debut album on September 6, but this summer they’re already celebrating with single releases and a SXSW Pride Show on June 27 at Cuatro Gato, alongside former KUTX Artist of the Month Caleb De Casper. And in their guest DJ set, Erin and Keri also celebrate Pride Month with a mix of queer artists, from Austin and beyond, that have influenced the band. Hear Parker Woodland’s My KUTX on Saturday, June 15 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime right here.
