The 2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival is in the books, but we’re still making our way through all the great live music. This week on the program, we’ll put a bow on the festival with a few more live performances from backstage, featuring Lissie and rockabilly hound JD McPherson. Plus, Steve Earle live from Studio 1A, and he remembers the first time he came to Austin–he partied with Jerry Jeff Walker and played cards with Townes Van Zandt. Also, new music from Mother Falcon and up-and-comer Max Frost—you’re going to want to remember his name. Later on, Robert Cray brings the blues and the band Death brings punk rock that dates back to 1971. And we bring you the week’s music news and more, on the Austin Music Experience. Take a listen in the player below!
And don’t forget–we want to hear your Austin music experience. What’s your favorite Austin show you’ve been to? What’s the show you brag about to all your friends? Give us a call on our hotline and we just might feature you on a future episode: 1-800-535-5533.
