KUTX is pleased to support World Music Encounters, an intimate, monthly concert series at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Sept. 22 features A’lante Flamenco, an Austin-based, award-winning flamenco company.
A’lante Flamenco excites audiences with a blend of traditional and contemporary flamenco music and dance. Formed in 2011, this award-winning company aspires to expose Texans to this centuries-old art form in fresh ways, using multimedia and addressing relevant social issues. A’lante Flamenco has won numerous dance awards from Austin Critics’ Table and is a member of the Texas Commission on the Arts’ touring roster. The group now incorporates five dancers and four musicians.
