Austin’s Big Bill is for the brash and absurd.
Forming in 2012 and featuring Eric Braden on vocals, Cody Braden on guitar, Alan Lauer on drums, and Jennifer Monsees on bass, Big Bill bounces away somewhere between garage punk and new wave, embracing a deceptive trail of indie pop sweetness with their sticky melodies. The band released their second album, The Second Bill, early this year and it is a snotty record full of cheekily authoritative vocals, bouncing bass, loud guitar, and the occasional unexpected dreamy synth breakdown.
