Austin-based indie folk duo Dawn & Hawkes is a force to be reckoned with. The group has been around the block; they were touring and performing for 5 years before the release of their first full-length album, Yours and Mine, in 2015, including two appearances on NBC’s The Voice. They bring a fresh take on a classic genre, their impeccable vocal harmonies matched with poignant lyrics over a foundation of iconic folk and country riffs. It makes sense that front people Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes should have such a tight sound, turns out they’re also married to each other! Dawn & Hawkes stopped by Studio 1A with a full band to show us some of their new arrangments, check them out below!
