The Austin based rock group, My Jerusalem, describes their sound as “Doom Pop” & “Hell Rock” among other things. Whatever you may call it, it strings dark gothic textures, hard rock and pop all together in an amazing synthesis. It’s the perfect sound for lovers of Joy Division, Nick Cave or even Twin Shadow. The group’s newest album, A Little Death, released by Washington Square (Low Anthem, Jon Batiste and Stay Human), is sonically wonderful and diverse, and translates incredibly well to their live performances. Their music explores death and fate, and creates an emotional platform for any listener to experience.
