Charles Bradley Announces Battle with Cancer

Following a short series of cancelled tour dates due to undisclosed health reasons, 67-year-old soul revival singer Charles Bradley revealed Tuesday afternoon that he’s been battling gastric cancer for the last few months after doctors discovered a tumor in the singer’s stomach, and is having to cancel the rest of his tour dates (including Sound on Sound Fest in November) in order to have surgery and recover. Bradley says he hates not getting to see and be with his “beautiful fans,” but is highly optimistic about his recovery and wants to get back on the road as soon as possible. (Austin 360)
