Set around the year 1900 in Sweden, A Little Night Music follows the complicated affairs of Desirée Armfeldt, a once-was famous actress. With an invitation from Desirée, the men involved with Desirée and their wives agree to come to her country estate for a golden summer party. It is here where romances are remembered, sparked and discovered as this curious and passionate day progresses. From the first time it hit Broadway in 1973, this Tony winning play has become highly beloved for both its original score by Stephen Sondheim and writing by Hugh Wheeler.
A Little Night Music has been running over at the Austin Playhouse Thursday-Saturday at 8 pm and Sundays at 5pm. Luckily for us here at Studio 1A, we were able to enjoy a performance of a few pieces, but now you can enjoy them below too!
