Leon Bridges 9.1.18

It’s no surprise Leon Bridges just performed not one, but TWO sold out ACL Live shows. Bridges first turned heads with his full-length album Coming Home and has since been compared to legends like Sam Cooke and Otis Redding. 1960s soul and stripped down R&B were a clear influence on his last record. His newest release, Good Thing, still maintains that classic neo-soul sound we all love, but brings us something a little more stylistically adventurous this time. Bridges is currently on tour and stopped by Studio 1A, accompanied by Britt Jessie (background vocals) and Brandon Thomas (guitar), to give listeners a taste of his new sound, along with an old favorite. You can listen to this session and hear Bridges describe how he approached this contemporary sound in our interview below!
