KUTX is a non-profit, community-supported station. The bulk of our operating revenue – over 85% – comes from our audience: donations from individual KUTX fans, plus underwriting support from Austin businesses who recognize the value of KUTX in our community. And financial support is one of many ways you can help your favorite station grow and thrive. No matter how you support us, you’ll help KUTX do more than play great music – you’ll help us support Austin’s vibrant music scene and promote it to music fans all over the world.

Become KUTX’s Next Member
While we always appreciate large gifts from donors who have the means, our funding model is built on lots of folks making smaller gifts: everyone who values KUTX, giving the amount that works for their budget. That’s why our Sustaining Membership starts at $5 per month! Choose the monthly amount you’d like to donate, then the amount will be deducted each month from your bank account or credit card. Your membership remains active until you need to change it – which you can do online or by contacting us (and we are easily contacted) – and you’ll be able to choose a KUTX thank-you gift every year!

Able to give a bit more? Members of our Concert Club ($50/month) and Leadership Circle ($100/month) enjoy additional perks, like occasional ticket presales and first dibs on nearly fifty opportunities per year to see live performances in KUTX’s Studio 1A.
Spread the Gospel
Follow KUTX on social media, share our videos and web stories, sign up for our newsletter so you’re in the know, tell all your friends about KUTX (especially those new to town), slap a KUTX sticker on your car or bike, set all the buttons on that rental car to 98.9 … Word-of-mouth from music fans like you means the world to us.
Spend Some Time
Here at KUTX, we’re a small staff with a big mission, so we depend on KUTX Volunteers to help us fulfill it. We’re always looking for KUTX fans who enjoy going out, talking to people, and who capital-L love live music. There’s no minimum time commitment – you can volunteer as much or as little as you’re able – and our volunteer training can be completed online in about 15 minutes. Volunteering for KUTX is a fun way to experience Austin’s vibrant music scene, meet new people, and support your favorite station.
Hit Up Your Boss
Many employers match their employees’ charitable contributions. You might work for a company that will double or even triple your support of KUTX! Find out if your employer will match your donation to KUTX. (Also, some companies will pay you to volunteer for KUTX, or donate to KUTX for every hour you volunteer. Inquire with your HR representative.)
You’re The Boss? Promote Your Business
Your fellow KUTX fans could be your next customers! You can use your marketing budget to support KUTX as a sponsor. Our underwriting team will work with you to craft your message, and find an on-air messaging plan that works for you. You’ll not only promote your business to our listeners; your support will send the message that you care about KUTX and Austin music!
If sponsorship isn’t in your business’ budget, consider joining the KUTX Business Circle before our next Membership Drive. You’ll hear your business mentioned on the air throughout the drive, and it’s another great way to let our listeners know you support KUTX. Clear Out Your Garage
Got an old vehicle taking up space in your garage? Donate it to KUTX! Whether it’s a car, truck, RV, motorcycle, boat or Zamboni taking up space in your driveway, all you have to do is contact us. Our Vehicle Donation Program will take care of the rest (including hauling it away for you) and you’ll get a nice tax-deduction.
