Arkansas native actor and musician Ben Dickey gained notoriety for his portrayal of Blaze Foley in 2018 biopic Blaze. Though the role earned Dickey a lot of positive buzz, this is not his first rodeo, with a debut LP released in 2016. Dickey’s debut, Sexy Birds and Salt Water Classics is to be followed by sophomore release A Glimmer On The Outskirts, out March 8th. With A Glimmer On The Outskirts, Dickey infuses folk and country inspired songs with a modern pop edge to create a sound all his own. The new album is released on SexHawkeBlack Records, an Austin-based offshoot of Dualtone founded by the minds behind Blaze, Charlie Sexton, Ethan Hawke and Blaze executive producer Louis Black.
