Like so many great ideas, the genesis of the collaborative chamber music group Lab Orchestra ATX was a group of friends sharing a pitcher of beer at the local watering hole. Those friends happened to be students and faculty of the University of Texas’s Butler School of Music looking for a way to share their love of chamber music from all eras in new and exciting ways. That love of adventure led to their first concert with more than 90 musicians sharing the stage. Now, Lab Orchestra ATX is back with their summer concert series, Denisty512, focused on taking chamber music into distinctive Austin venues including Thinkery and The North Door.
