Ray Benson says they’re “some of the finest musicians in the world” and we have no problem backing up that claim. Not only are Austin band, MilkDrive an extremely talented bunch, they’re a great group of people too. Joining us this Thursday April 3 at 11 a.m. they’ll be playing some tunes and telling us a bit about their upcoming involvement in Farmgrass Fest 2014, a bluegrass and food festival in Lockhart, TX on Sunday April 6. All proceeds will go to the Grower’s Alliance of Central Texas to help start a Farmer’s Emergency Medical Fund. MilkDrive will be the final act in a slew of great bluegrass bands, including Lost Pines, Bottom Dollar String Band, Fog & Bone, and The Silky Brisket Brothers. If you can’t make it to the festival you can catch MilkDrive at Austin’s Strange Brew April 19 at 9 p.m.!
