The Silos was formed by Walter Salas-Humara and Bob Rupe in New York City in 1985. The band was voted Best New American Band in Rolling Stone Magazine’s Critics’ Poll of 1987 and appeared on Late Night with David Letterman in 1990. Throughout the last decade, The Silos have continued to release an admirable body of work. Walter Salas-Humara and Silos present and past have marshaled the best of America — our wide tradition, focused innovation and unfettered optimism. Salas-Humara’s latest record Curve and Shake comes out on August 12. You can catch Walter Salas-Humara and The Silos at The ABGB Friday, August 8th, but not before you listen to their performance caught LIVE in KUTX Studio 1A right here!
