Residing somewhere between Motown and punk, Leopold and his Fiction are burning up with rock ‘n’ roll fever.
The now Austin-based band led by Detroit native Daniel James, Leopold and his Fiction is comprised of musicians that he met and collaborated with whilst touring across the country. Trying to harness something between “chaos and control,” a trait of all of their favorite artists, the band accompanies their gift of straight up melody delivered by James’ powerfully ragged vocals with jerky jolts of guitar and drums. The band’s upcoming release will be produced by Chris “Frenchie” Smith and promises to be a layered listen, a collision of rough roots, garage, and psych rock, tinged with a touch of soul and R&B.
You can catch Leopold and his Fiction‘s live performance at the Parish on May 15th and you can stream their music right here on KUTX.
