Baskery 9.20.17

The three Swedish sisters of Baskery have been making music and taking names since 2007. The group is made up of Greta, Stella and Sunniva Bondesson and their unique sound walks the line between straightforward punk and subtle singer-songwriting. It is a sort of “banjo-punk” hybrid characterized by a kinetic energy and killer sibling harmonies. Baskery’s latest single release “Cheerless Leaders” showcases their sweet folk-y melodies but maintains a punk sensibility with dark, textured instrumentals and a “don’t mess with us” attitude. The trio brought their unique, energetic mudfolk to Studio 1A ahead of their performance at Utopia Fest. Missed the session? We’ve got it right here for you! Check it out below!
