American singer-songwriter Kim Richey didn’t record her self-titled debut album until her late thirties. Even with that seemingly late entrance into the music biz, Kim Richey has become one of the most respected and sought-after songwriters in the country. Over the course of her next 7 studio albums, Richey worked with a who’s who of country and folk music. Her latest, Edgeland, finds her back in good company with producer Brad Jones and top-notch players like Chuck Prophet and Robin Hitchcock. Kim Richey is back in town for a show at Cactus Cafe and we asked to stop by to play a few songs from the new record before her show. Scroll down to listen to the session and follow the links to find out more about her tour.
