Singer-songwriter James McCartney has a long shadow to escape. His father, Paul McCartney is… well, he’s Paul McCartney. But James does a pretty great case for his music to stand on its own. His lyrics are intricate and thoughtful, and his vocals and musicianship are spectacular. Coming off of two digital-only EP releases, Available Light and Close at Hand, and his first physical release (a packaged combo of the two EPs, plus a handful of bonus tracks), James McCartney is ready to release his first full length album later this year. The album, Me, will be released in May. If it’s anything like his other work, it’s sure to be fantastic.
