This summer, stalwart Austin drummer and producer Jim Eno will move back to his home state of Rhode Island. Never one to seek the spotlight – always more comfortable behind the drumkit or the mixing board at his Public Hi-Fi Studio – Eno nevertheless made an incalculable impact to the Austin scene. It’s hard to imagine anyone who used their credibility and talents to uplift and shine a light on such a broad array of local talent.
On June 5, KUTX and Antone’s Present “I Want More: A Salute to Jim Eno + Public Hi-Fi”, where a secret lineup of Public Hi-Fi All-Stars will salute Jim and send him off in style. Tickets are onsale now, with proceeds benefiting Project Traction.
